STATUS: Completed 2014
Working alongside engineering company Structure Workshop, Tekne Lab produced a complex, rule-based growth algorithm as a design tool for London based artist, Conrad Shawcross.

The underlying structural logic of the artwork involves the sequential splitting and bifurcating of smaller and smaller tetrahedrons; by adjusting the rules of the algorithm, various structures and morphologies can be explored. Tekne Lab developed the rule-based growth system as well as an integrated structural analysis drawing system.
